Atlantis?
One of my Irish seminar students (you see, the course really never does end although the old blog is now a read-only blog until the full transferral has taken place to its MT site) has just emailed me the Rueters article on Ireland as Atlantis.
This one small island has long provoked all kinds of speculation about its ancient history– In Shalom Ireland by filmmaker Valerie Lapin Ganley (my sister-in-law), one of the historians suggests that Ireland might well have been visited by the ancients of Israel, making the linguistic connection between “Torah” and the Hill of “Tara” for instance.
